Zoom

Vivid´s third two-day scientific retreat took place at the Kardinal Schulte Haus in Bergisch Gladbach on May 3rd and 4th, 2023. Over 30 participants from various backgrounds attended the retreat, including both natural science and medical doctoral students, project leaders, and associated scientists and doctoral candidates.

Throughout the retreat, the doctoral students presented their current research projects in a supportive and constructive environment. The atmosphere was lively and engaging, with everyone eager to learn from one another and provide feedback on each other's work. It was inspiring to see such a diverse group of talented and passionate students coming together to share their knowledge and ideas.

As the first day drew to a close, the group had dinner together and a fun-filled evening of bowling. It was a great opportunity to unwind and get to know each other outside of the academic setting. The students, post-docs and principle investigators laughed and cheered each other on as they competed to see who could score the most strikes.

The second day of the retreat was just as productive as the first. Students continued to present their research and engage in discussions with one another. It was clear that the retreat had fostered a sense of camaraderie and collaboration among the group, as everyone worked together to help each other improve their work.

Overall, the two-day scientific retreat was a huge success. Not only did it provide students with the chance to share their research and receive feedback, but it also created a sense of community and support among the group. It was an experience that will undoubtedly help all participants in their future careers as scientists.
