Scientists

Vivid advances collaborative, interdisciplinary and translational research at Heinrich Heine University. Therefore, the research training group combines unique expertise and resources to establish a novel and outstanding network for research and education. The consortium consists of experienced scientists from different areas of life sciences and medicine that are affiliated with Heinrich Heine University (HHU), University Hospital Düsseldorf (UKD) and the German Diabetes Center (DDZ), Leibniz Center for Diabetes Research at HHU. In addition, vivid integrates resources from the German Center for Diabetes Research (DZD), a national network belonging to the BMBF-initiated federal program ‘Deutsche Zentren der Gesundheitsforschung’ (DZGs), and the Max Rubner-Institute (MRI), a federal research institute focusing on nutrition and health.
